Abstract
This article presents a review of the presentations and discussions held during an international symposium organized in April 1996 in Belgium on postoperative or post-traumatic upper extremity algodystrophy. Algodystrophy was defined as a local or regional pain syndrome with dysesthesiae, frequent allodynia, vasomotor disturbances, and dystrophy changes involving all tissues.
